Program Overview

Webinar 1: Hospice QRP – Connecting the Dots Between HIS, CAHPs, & Outcomes
Wednesday, June 2, 2021 * 11:00 —12:30 pm PST

Explore the Connection between the Hospice Quality Reporting Program (HQRP) and patient care.  This session will familiarize you with the HQRP requirements and explain the impact they have on an agency. HQRP currently consists of two reporting requirements that use data to calculate performance on quality measures: the Hospice Item Set (HIS) and the Hospice Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) survey, but if the FY 2022 proposed rule is approved as proposed, then we will see some changes!  We will highlight those proposed changes and how that may affect your agency. Join us to learn to identify the measures and understand how the data for both the HIS and the CAHPS hospice survey items correlate to clinical practice and improving outcomes.

Webinar 2: Hospice Care Planning Drill Down
Wednesday, June 9, 2021 * 11:00 —12:30 pm PST

Some of the most commonly cited deficiencies in hospice are from the Hospice CoP on Interdisciplinary Team, Care Planning and Coordination of Services. Gain an understanding of the documentation requirements for use of different levels of hospice care in order to avoid surveyor scrutiny. Join us as we drill down the CoPs so you learn how to recognize noncompliance with CoP requirements and understand ways to ensure compliance within your agency to avoid survey deficiencies.
