DESCRIPTION Hospice: Beyond Nuts and Bolts - This is a virtual, intensive, advanced training presented by Wellsky/Corridor powered by WellSky. Beyond Nuts & Bolts offers specific targeted training to hospice staff including hospice managers, supervisors, and clinical staff to improve their mastery of, not just familiarity with the essential skills of a compliant hospice organization. Industry expert Tina Badham MBA/MHA will lead you through this intensive training focused on:
- Understanding the HOPE tool and the comprehensive assessment
- The Plan of Care and survey readiness
- Effective documentation to support eligibility for end-stage neurological disorders,
dementias, cardiopulmonary conditions
- Working effectively with the hospice physician and the IDG
- Work through complex scenarios
FACULTY Tina Badham MBA/MHA Tina Badham has worked in the home health and hospice industry since the year 2000, when she began her career as a CNA. Tina holds a Master's Degree in Healthcare and Business Administration and continues to pursue her education in Nursing.
Tina’s experience spans across healthcare, in operations management, education, implementation management, mergers and acquisition, sales and most recently client success. She spent many years working for a very large agency in home health and hospice where she led the charge for change management and assisted with creating a better onboarding experience for clinicians. She has spent a large amount of time working on home health and hospice process measures and continues to focus on ways to improve metrics across the spectrum.
Her passion lies with making a difference in the world of healthcare, knowing that all aspects of healthcare from base to top make an impact to overall patient outcomes.
Sharon Seaton, RN, BSN, CHPN, HCS-O, HCS-D, CCS-HH Sharon Seaton, RN, is a Program Manager within Advisory and Outsource Services at WellSky, where she brings over 35 years of healthcare expertise to her role. With advanced certifications including CHPN, HCS-D, HCS-O, and CCS-HH, Sharon specializes in home health and hospice operations, compliance, and education.
In her current position, Sharon collaborates with stakeholders across the healthcare spectrum to develop and deliver targeted educational programs. She works closely with state professional associations and individual agencies to elevate staff expertise, address regulatory compliance needs, and prepare organizations for surveys. Her comprehensive approach includes both reactive solutions for agencies facing citations and proactive strategies to maintain operational excellence.
Sharon's extensive background includes successful roles as a Hospice Administrator, where she achieved 100% program growth, and as a Quality Manager, where she implemented significant cost-saving measures while improving care delivery. Her expertise extends to OASIS review, ICD-10 coding, and the development of effective QAPI programs.
At WellSky, Sharon also contributes to the development and maintenance of industry-supporting publications, including policy and procedure manuals and other compliance tools that help agencies optimize their operations. Her combination of clinical experience, regulatory knowledge, and educational expertise makes her a valued resource in the home health and hospice community.
